Greetings from Cape Town!

We, at YWAM Muizenberg, recently purchased the corner building next to our YWAM base, which was occupied by a muslim couple for the last 7 years. The owners had been trying to evict them for many years and it finally happened a few weeks ago after the matter was settled in court. We have been believing God for this property for over 7 years and in a matter of a few days the impossible became possible when our secret bid of 70,000 USD (500,000 Rand) was accepted!

God has been so faithful to us and amongst our staff and students we were able to raise a deposit of 7,000 USD (50,000 Rand). We put down our deposit and had 30 days to secure the financing from the bank. At the last minute it fell through because of the current economic situation. We have faith that this is our inheritance as YWAM and it will aid our growth and provide much needed accommodation for our staff from Africa, as well as serve for outreach housing. At some point in the future, it has potential to be incorporated into our existing base as part of an extension project that could provide us with additional stories of accommodation, classrooms and office space.

We recently signed a new deed of sale and have a few weeks to see the money come in or lose the property and our deposit of 7,000 USD. There are others in the community standing in line with cash offers because of the location of the property and it being so close to the beach but we believe that God will have the final say.
