YWAM Fortaleza will be offering for the 2nd time, the TESOL Course (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) starting September 1, 2010 and will be registered with the University of the Nations as course #HIS 511 w/4 credit hours and Practicum as #HIS 512 w/ 2 credit hours.
The purpsoe of the TESOL seminar is to introduce you to methods of teaching. A seminar providing an analysis of the sounds, grammar, and vocabulary of the English language, emphasizing those aspects which give difficulty to those learning the language. Also included are practical methods and procedures for assisting beginning students of English at home or in other countries. The practicum will be an ‘Hands-on experience’ in teaching English to speakers of other languages in a class room setting.  An additional 6 week outreach/internship opportunity for a 6 week ESL seminar at YWAM Fortaleza will immediately follow.
Space will be limited between 10 to 12 students.
